NASD OTC Loses Grip on N1 Trillion Mark as Index Slips 5.31%

NASD OTC Securities Exchange has fallen below its historical N1 trillion value after the benchmark index of the market slipped by 5.31% to close last week.
Specifically, the market Cap of the unquoted stocks shed N55.61 billion to settle lower at ₦990.72 Billion following the negative movement in the NASD Securities Index (NSI) that reflects price performance.

On Year-to-Date Overview, the market closed on a moderated Positive note YTD as the market recorded an increase in performance.
NASD Security Index Year-to-date returns increased by 1.31%. Total volume traded Year-to-Date stands at 3,163,214,802 units in 1,244 deals and the total Value traded is ₦20,590,871,800.68.
Review of the week 22 shows there was a 7.40% decrease in the total value traded during the week, as week 22 saw NASD Investors trade a total of ₦91,524,738.17 in value compared to ₦98,835,399.00 in the previous week. Total trade activity for the year is valued at ₦20,590,871,800.68.
Total volume traded during the week was 10,254,299 units compared to 8,018,365 units in the previous week leading to a 27.89% increase in trade volume compared to week 21. The total volume traded for the year is 3,163,214,802 units.
