Industrial software giant AVEVA has published its fifth annual Sustainability Report, highlighting major progress in its mission to drive sustainable transformation across global industries through technology and innovation.
According to the 2024 report, AVEVA achieved and maintained a 93% reduction in its Scope 1 and 2 emissions compared to its baseline year.

This milestone was reached through a strategic shift to renewable energy, optimisation of office and fleet usage, and operational streamlining, it stated on Tuesday.
The company also completed green product design maturity assessments across its entire portfolio, a move aligned with the Green Software Foundation’s sustainability principles.
Additionally, power bench testing was conducted on 85% of AVEVA’s products to evaluate their energy consumption and emissions intensity, forming a critical baseline for ongoing improvements.
“Sustainability and business success must go hand in hand,” said Caspar Herzberg, CEO of AVEVA. “By unifying industrial data and insight, our software empowers customers to drive meaningful reductions in emissions, improve operational efficiency and unlock long-term value.”
The report underscores AVEVA’s strategy across its three sustainability pillars: technology handprint (impact through products), operational footprint (internal emissions and resource use), and inclusive culture.
For the first time, AVEVA has also published a ‘saved and avoided emissions’ figure, a data point reflecting the measurable energy savings its customers achieved using select AVEVA products.
This calculation is expected to expand over time, reinforcing the company’s focus on quantifiable climate impact.
“As we approach the final year of our 2025 sustainability goals, we are sharpening our focus on delivering measurable impact at scale,” added Lisa Wee, Chief Sustainability Officer at AVEVA.
“Our priority is to deepen the positive effect of our software handprint, helping customers accelerate decarbonisation, enhance resilience and support a circular economy.”
AVEVA’s 2024 Sustainability Report marks a defining chapter in the company’s efforts to advance digital solutions that power a low-carbon, resource-efficient future.
