Idiong said the company’s IT services delivery has multiple strategies to achieve its implementation goals.

He said Heirs Technologies will strategically invest in cutting edge technological solutions and develop platforms that foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders. Central to the company’s plans is to develop local capacity through meticulously tailored skills development programmes, citing i-Academy as one of such programmes.

According to him, “We are partnering with foreign technology solution providers like Infosys, Daon, Microsoft, Huawei, Cisco, HP, Dell, Oracle, among others to bring emerging technology solutions to Nigeria and loacalise them in such a way that will help organisations in Nigeria and other African countries to address identified local challenges,”

Speaking on the company’s ongoing empowerment programme, Idiong said Heirs Technologies has started empowering young tech enthusiasts through its initiative i-Academy to mitigate the effects of tech-talent attrition in Nigeria.

He said that the training programme which runs for six months will provide young tech enthusiasts with the skills and knowledge needed to launch a successful career in the technology industry.

“This year, the company is targeting 100 interns as against last year where only 30 youths were trained.

“Students will learn front end software development, backend software development and additional soft skills in a hybrid learning approach,” Idiong explained.

As part of the curriculum, interns are exposed to real-life applications and projects, and during the projects, the company ensures interns are well-equipped to design programmes both individually and in teams.

In her opening remarks, Chairman, Heirs Technologies, Dr. Fumbi Chima, who spoke passionately about the company’s i-Academy, said the academy remained Heirs Technologies’ training institute, dedicated to enhancing technical proficiency across the Group companies and external recruits, designed to build talent pipeline of resources committed to rendering exceptional service delivery for its three business lines- OEM Support, Business Process Outsourcing and Managed Services that would enable it achieve its revenue targets.
