Airtel Africa Confirms Final Dividend Payment Date

Airtel Africa, a leading pan-African provider of telecommunications and mobile money services, with a presence in 14 countries across Africa, has announced that the Board has confirmed a final dividend of 3 cents per ordinary share which will be paid on or around 22 July 2022.
The Interim dividend will be paid in US dollars, although Airtel Africa plc offer their shareholders the opportunity to elect to receive their dividend payments in GB pounds or Nigerian naira via currency elections.

According to the dividend timetable it released Tuesday at the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), ex-dividend date is slated for 23 June 2022; record date for 24 June 2022 and payment of the dividend would made on or around 22 July 2022
“Details regarding the default currency and options on currency election for the dividend, and the currency exchange rates that will be applicable in determination of the FY’22 final dividend payment to any shareholders that qualify for and have elected to receive the FY’22 final dividend payment in GB pounds or Nigerian naira will be issued in due course,” the filing stated.
Business Metrics earlier reported that Airtel Africa released its financial report for the full year ended March 2022 with impressive figures as its revenue for the year went up 20% to hit $4.7 billion.
