Tinubu Appoints Emomotimi Agama As SEC DG, Names Katuka Board Chair

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Emomotimi Agama as the Director-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
A statement by presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, also disclosed that the president named Mairiga Aliyu Katuka as the Chairman House of the Commission.

Ajuri mentioned other professionals approved by the president to include Frana Chukwuogor, Executive Commissioner, Legal and Enforcement; Bola Ajomale, Executive Commissioner, Operations and Samiya Hassan Usman, Executive Commissioner, Corporate Services.
The statement named the SEC’s Non-Executive Officers appointed by Tinubu as Lekan Belo and Kasimu Garba Kurfi.
“The President anticipates that all members of the Board of this critical commission will bring to bear their wealth of experience and competence in advancing the commission’s core mandate of developing and regulating a capital market that is dynamic, fair, transparent, and efficient, to bolster investor confidence and contribute immeasurably to the nation’s economic development, “ Ngelale said.
