WhatsApp introduces shopping button to boost e-commerce

WhatsApp Business has introduced a shopping button in its business chats to maximize e-commerce activities within the platform

The newly added shopping button is said to facilitate easy payment and transaction between businesses and customers using the chatting service on daily basis
As explained by WhatsApp, “Now you can easily discover something you’d like to buy from your favorite business by tapping on the new shopping button at the top of chats.”
Similar to the new Shop options on Instagram and Facebook, the WhatsApp shopping button takes you through to a product listing in-app, where you can select items and tap through to make a purchase.
It’s impact, experts say it is huge for small businesses to make easy transactions with their customers since the messaging app is free with over 2 billion active users across the world, presenting remarkable opportunities for small businesses to utilize the shopping button to make more sales.
