CIIN Launches Insurance Broking Book

The Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) has launched the insurance broking book to reinforce professionalisation of insurance broking in the curriculum of studies for qualification to become a chartered insurer in Nigeria.

The course book was launched during the ‘2023 Elders Forum’ event of the institute in Lagos.

While launching the book, the President, CIIN, Mr Edwin Igbiti, said, the book explained that with the introduction of the Insurance Broking Course, students could now specialise on insurance broking.

He added that the post-qualification routes were being followed to ensure that qualified professionals specialised in their desired area.

Igbiti said, “The book covers the three-stage exams of the CIIN, namely foundation, intermediary and associateship. In order to berth this aspiration, the CIIN forged collaboration with the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers for significant inputs and endorsement.”

The Executive Secretary, NCRIB, Mr Tope Adaramola, expressed satisfaction at the introduction of the courses across the three stage level examinations of the institute.
