Beta Glass Appoints Boye Olusanya as Board Chairman

Beta Glass Plc has appointed Boye Olusanya as chairman of its board of directors, marking a leadership transition at the leading glass packaging manufacturer.

The appointment follows the departure of the company’s former chairman, Vitus Ezinwa, whose tenure the board said was instrumental in driving the company’s growth.

Olusanya’s appointment took effect on July 30, 2026, making him the new chairman of the board at a time when Nigerian manufacturers are navigating a challenging operating environment characterised by high borrowing costs, inflationary pressures and heightened investor attention to corporate governance.

A non-executive director of Beta Glass, Olusanya brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience across fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), agriculture, telecommunications, technology, infrastructure, energy and financial services.

He currently serves as Group Chief Executive Officer of FMN Holdings Limited, where he is leading the transformation of one of Africa’s largest food and agro-industrial groups.

His previous leadership roles include VMobile, Dancom Technologies, Dangote Industries, 9mobile and Helios Investment Partners.

He also previously served as chairman of Axxela Limited, is Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group and a member of the Presidential Food Systems Coordination Unit.

The board expressed confidence in Olusanya’s leadership, saying his appointment positions the company to pursue new growth opportunities, strengthen governance and deliver sustainable value to shareholders and other stakeholders.
