Geregu Power Appoints Mohammed Jaoji Acting CEO

Geregu Power Plc has appointed Engr. Mohammed Sani Jaoji as its acting Chief Executive Officer following the end of Sean Manley’s tenure as interim CEO.
The power generation company disclosed the appointment in a notice to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and the investing public on Monday.

Jaoji brings more than three decades of experience in Nigeria’s power sector, having held technical and leadership positions at the National Electric Power Authority (NEPA) and Geregu Power Plc.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and is a registered member of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
Jaoji Returns To Geregu Power
Before his appointment, Jaoji served as Head of Maintenance Planning and Performance at Geregu Power between 2007 and 2019.
He subsequently worked as Technical Assistant to the Minister of Power from 2019 to 2023 before returning to Geregu Power.
The company said his appointment is expected to strengthen its governance structure and strategic direction while the board works towards appointing a substantive chief executive officer.
The appointment follows the non-renewal of the tenure of Mr Sean Manley, whose term as interim CEO ended on August 14, 2026.
Geregu Power expressed appreciation to Manley for his service and contributions to the company during his tenure.
