During the tour, Dr. Oduwole was shown NASENI’s product showroom, advanced manufacturing equipment, and facilities such as the NASENI Troment factory, which is set to produce world-class pharmaceuticals, including HIV vaccines. She also took a ride in the agency’s anti-ballistic missile armoured vehicle.
The minister hailed NASENI’s work as a potential driver of national economic transformation, urging the agency to sustain its commercialisation drive, deepen knowledge-sharing, and inspire younger generations. “The vision here is commendable, and the impact on domestic content development is clear,” she added.
Mr. Halilu, in his remarks, thanked the minister and her delegation for the visit and called for stronger collaboration to boost productivity. He also disclosed that NASENI currently has over 40 market-ready products capable of competing globally, with more innovations in the pipeline.
The minister was accompanied on the tour by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Ambassador Nura Abba Rimi, the Managing Director of the Nigerian Export Processing Zones Authority, Dr. Olufemi Ogunyemi, as well as senior officials from both the ministry and NASENI.
