Shareholders of Custodian Investment to share N2.65bn as dividend


 

 

The Board of Directors of Custodian Investment Plc has announced the payment of a final dividend of 45 kobo for every share of 50 kobo held by shareholders, a filling by the company at the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) stated on Monday.

With its share outstanding at 5,881,864,195, the investment holding company with interest in life insurance, general insurance, pensions, trustees, property and financial service will be paying a sum of N2.65 billion as total dividend for the year ended 2020.

According to the disclosure signed by the company’s secretary, Adeyinka Jafojo,

the accrued final dividend will be disbursed electronically to qualified shareholders on the 22nd of April, 2021, subject to appropriate withholding tax and approval from the Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled the same day.

It is also worth noting that the company had paid an interim dividend of10 kobo for the half-year period of 2020 which make total for the year dividend 55kobo per ordinary share.

Custodian Investment Plc had recently posted good numbers in its financial report for the full year with 111 per cent rise in its profit after tax of N12.69 billion.

While its profit before tax stood N13.69 billion, representing 69.6 per cent appreciation compared to its 2019 record, earnings per share surged 111.04 per cent to N194 as against N97 in 2019 and its retained earnings jacked up 9.7 per cent to N38 billion the same year.
