PZ Cussons Proposes N9.93bn Final Dividend at N2.50 Per Share

PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc has proposed a final dividend of N9.93 billion, representing N2.50 per ordinary share, for the financial year ended May 31, 2026.
The proposed payout was disclosed following a special meeting of the company’s Board of Directors held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, where the board considered and approved the audited financial statements for the year ended May 31, 2026.

According to the notification issued to shareholders, the board approved a final dividend of N9,926,192,613, equivalent to N2.50 per ordinary share of 50 kobo. The proposed dividend remains subject to approval by shareholders at the company’s next Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Alongside the proposed cash dividend, the board recommended the introduction of a scrip dividend option for qualifying shareholders.
Under the arrangement, eligible shareholders who elect the option may receive new ordinary shares in PZ Cussons Nigeria in place of all or part of their cash dividend entitlement.
The scrip option provides qualifying shareholders with an alternative to receiving their dividend entirely in cash, although the company’s filing does not provide further details on the proposed terms, pricing mechanism or timetable for the share alternative.
The board’s decision also included the approval of PZ Cussons Nigeria’s audited financial statements for the financial year ended May 31, 2026.
PZ Cussons Nigeria also disclosed that its closed period remains in force.
The company said the closed period commenced on June 1, 2026, and will continue until 24 hours after the release of the audited financial statements for the year ended May 31, 2026, to the market.
The closed-period disclosure forms part of the company’s investor communication following the special board meeting and its approval of the audited accounts.
