ipNX Nigeria Limited has highlighted the role of the Bank of Industry (BOI) in supporting investment in Nigeria’s information and communications technology (ICT) sector, as the company seeks to expand its infrastructure and digital connectivity capabilities.

The company made this known during a courtesy visit by its executive delegation to BOI Managing Director, Dr Olasupo Olusi, at the bank’s office in Marina, Lagos.

Dr Olusola Teniola, Director of Strategic Business Initiatives at ipNX Nigeria Limited, said sustained investment and institutional partnerships were essential to expanding Nigeria’s digital economy.

According to Teniola, BOI’s support has helped ipNX strengthen its infrastructure and operational capabilities to meet growing demand for digital connectivity.

“Our relationship with BOI has been instrumental in enabling us to continue investing in our infrastructure and capabilities as we respond to the growing demand for quality digital connectivity,” he said.

He added that development finance institutions had an important role to play in creating opportunities for businesses to scale their operations and invest in critical sectors.

“The continuous development of Nigeria’s digital economy requires sustained investment, strong institutions and partnerships that enable businesses to build and scale. We appreciate the role institutions such as the Bank of Industry play in supporting this growth and creating opportunities for greater investment in critical sectors,” Teniola said.

For ICT operators, expanding infrastructure requires sustained capital investment to improve network capacity and meet demand from businesses, households and other users.

ipNX said it remained committed to investing in ICT solutions and providing digital connectivity to businesses, communities and individuals as part of its contribution to Nigeria’s digital transformation.

The company also expressed its intention to strengthen its longstanding relationship with BOI, although details of any new financing arrangement, the value of previous support and additional investment commitments were not disclosed.
