CAP Plc Appoints Oladele Ajayi as Non-Executive Director

Chemical and Allied Products Plc (CAP Plc) has announced the appointment of Mr Oladele Ajayi to its Board as a Non-Executive Director, with effect from 12 June 2025.
The notice was duly communicated to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), shareholders, and the investing public.

Mr Ajayi is a seasoned business executive with over 20 years of proven leadership across various markets in Central Africa, East Africa, and Europe.
He brings with him a remarkable track record in driving growth, enhancing operational performance, and leading strategic transformation within complex and fast-evolving business environments.
Currently, he serves as a Non-Executive Director on the boards of Champions Brewery Plc, Grand Cereals Limited, MDS Logistics Limited, Molly Specialist Hospital, and as an Alternate Director on the board of UPDC Plc.
Prior to these roles, Mr Ajayi was the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of UAC Foods Limited, where he led the development and execution of corporate strategy, consistently surpassing performance benchmarks.
Beyond his operational acumen, Mr Ajayi possesses extensive experience in corporate governance and boardroom leadership.
His distinguished tenure at Heineken included key strategic appointments such as Managing Director for the Central and East Africa sub-region and Managing Director of Heineken Hungary. He also held several senior board roles, including:
- Chairman, Sierra Leone Brewery Ltd (SLBL)
- Chairman, Brasseries et Limonaderies du Rwanda (BRALIRWA)
- Vice President, Board of Brasseries et Limonaderies du Burundi (BRARUDI)
- External Director, Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited
- Director, Brasserie de Bourbon, St Denis, La Réunion
Mr Ajayi holds a Doctorate (PhD) from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, United Kingdom. He has also completed executive education programmes at prestigious institutions, including the Advanced Management Programme (AMP) at Harvard Business School and an Advanced Marketing Diploma from the Institute of Marketing Managers, Johannesburg, South Africa.
