Fidelity Bank Plc has announced plan by its board of directors to meet and consider the Bank’s Audited Financial Statements for the year ended December 31, 2020 before sending the document to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for regulatory approval.

According to a Monday filing signed by Ezinwa Unigboje, the company secretary, at the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), the lender explained that the bank will meet on Monday March 25, 2021 to consider and approve the result in compliance with the extant regulations of the NSE.

“Upon approval by the board, by regulation, Fidelity Bank is required to submit its Audited Financial Statements to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for regulatory approval.

“Thereafter, the audited financial statement shall be published on the floor of the bourse,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, the bank reminded its shareholders and investors post-listing requirements of the Exchange, the bank had earlier communicated to it’s insiders, a closed period for trading in it’s shares.

“The closed period took effect on December 1, 2020 and will run until 24 hours after publication of the banks Audited Financial Statements for the year ended December 31, 2020 on the floor of the NSE,” according to the filing seen by Business Metrics.
