PalmPay has launched a new customer-focused campaign, ‘PalmPay Dey For You’, as the fintech seeks to strengthen user confidence in the security and reliability of its digital financial services.
The campaign comes as security and fraud concerns continue to shape how Nigerians use digital payment and banking platforms. PalmPay said the initiative will focus on helping users understand and activate security features available on its platform.
The fintech said millions of Nigerians currently use its platform for services including money transfers, bill payments, savings and other financial transactions.
A key component of the campaign is PalmPay’s Security Center, which provides users with tools to manage account and transaction security.
One of the features highlighted by the company is Location Guard, which allows users to set up to six trusted locations. PalmPay said the feature provides an additional layer of protection by helping users control where their accounts can be accessed and flagging activity from unexpected locations.
The platform has also introduced NightGuard, which provides additional protection during selected periods.
PalmPay said these tools are designed to give users more control over their accounts while helping detect and prevent suspicious activity.
For users who lose access to their phones or cards, the fintech provides USSD options for quickly restricting access. Customers can lock their PalmPay accounts by dialling *861*12#, while cards can be locked through *861*7*5#.
PalmPay has also expanded its dispute-management process through an in-app Dispute Page, allowing customers to submit and track transaction-related complaints directly from the platform.
According to PalmPay, the campaign is intended to go beyond reassuring customers about its institutional and regulatory framework by educating them on practical steps they can take to protect their accounts.
Chika Nwosu, Managing Director of PalmPay Nigeria, said customer trust remains central to the company’s approach to financial services.
“Trust is fundamental to banking. Customers need to know that the institution they rely on is regulated, secure, dependable, and available when they need it.”
Nwosu said the campaign would help customers understand and use the security tools available on the platform while reinforcing PalmPay’s commitment to protecting users.
The company plans to use educational content, FAQs, customer forums and product-led communication to provide information on account security, fraud awareness and other measures users can take to protect their accounts.
PalmPay said its approach is based on security by design, embedding protection features within the customer experience rather than relying solely on intervention after a security incident.
