Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX Group) has introduced a WhatsApp subscription channel for its NGX Invest platform, giving investors another way to access and subscribe to public offers without downloading a separate application.

Investors can initiate the process by sending “Invest” to +234 812 731 9521 on WhatsApp. They can then follow the prompts to view eligible offers and complete their applications, selecting a stockbroker to process their subscriptions.

The new channel expands NGX Invest’s distribution network, which connects issuers with investors through more than 100 channels, including stockbrokers, banks, fintechs, mobile operators and other financial institutions.

According to NGX Group, the integration is designed to simplify access to primary-market investment opportunities, broaden investor participation and provide issuers with an additional route to reach potential subscribers.

Although WhatsApp serves as the access point, subscriptions are processed through NGX Invest’s secure infrastructure. Investors are advised to use only the official WhatsApp number and never disclose passwords, PINs, one-time passwords (OTPs) or other sensitive credentials to third parties.

The launch aligns with NGX Group’s broader strategy to leverage technology and partnerships to expand participation in Nigeria’s capital market while maintaining the safeguards required for regulated investment transactions.
